Ouroboros Hose and mouth piece
hose assembly of the Ouroboros rebreather

The hose used on the Ouroboros rebreather has been designed to withstand damage by a wide range of diving environments from caves to wrecks. The hose material itself is ballistic nylon coated rubber and is reinforced from within by a rigid coiled spring to withstand external pressure to prevent collapse and thus retain breathing dynamics. The mouth piece is made from Delrin and the moving parts of the isolation valve are free of O-rings which in turn removes a failure point from the design, the shutoff lever adds weight to counteract buoyancy and make the mouthpiece neutral without hose weights.

how the sections are broken down
Above Left; Looking into the section where the mushroom valve can be seen.
Above Right; Adjustable hose section with a clip that locks into place.

Clean and LIGHTLY re-grease the outside of the barrel and the inside of the mouthpiece. Reassemble in reverse order. DO NOT PUSH ON THE INSIDE OF THE MUSHROOM VALVE CARRIER TO ASSEMBLE IT, USE THE OUTER EDGE. This can be done by using a hose end with the O-rings removed.
